looking for MORE

I'm taking a short break after the whole week of studying for my mid semester test. I was reading from TIMES magazine, where I come across the stories of the youth in Japan.

For too long, Japan's youth have been a silent minority. Now, on the eve of a crucially important general election, they seek a bigger voice in forging the future of their aging nation.

Time Magazine..

Reading this does makes me wonder how self centered we all are at times. We are too caught up with our own lives, making us blind towards our neighbours. I never really thought about Japan that way until I read about the young adults in the country. I think it's time for us to look for more stories from others around us...

August 26, 2009's coming back!!

the messiness on the table....and this is only one part of it, consequence of studying too much!! Haha!

First of all, I must thank the first semester test that plays an important part here. It's been far too long that I lost interest on the importance of knowledge. Let's say it sort of stir my interest into it again but anyway what is more important is the passion that is coming back.

I know it is pretty weird to say coming back because passion should be something that's within us and it takes effort to create the passion and enthusiasm into something. Let's said at one point, I was feeling too numb to be feeling any enthusiasm or passionate for something good. It was not until my roommate, Chin Sian downloaded the song from "One Litre of Tears". He was telling me how nice the song is and how sad the story is just from looking at the video clip.

It was weird because I was busy studying when he was telling me and opening the song from the computer. I couldn't fully concentrate at that point. I was feeling sorry for the eager to live each day and yet her life was cut into such short moments.

I looked back at my life and I know that there are so many things that I did not do though I should. I'm occupied by the word "success" and there are so many things to prove. But all these are nothing for someone who is dying at a rapid rate daily. I knew there are so many times that I've been selfish and that selfishness probably is what contributes to this corrupted world as well.

It reminds me that not doing what is right is the same as doing evil. I wanted to start with my first post on the less fortunate people in this world.

Well, for those who are doctors, then you probably will know the term

Spinocerebellar ataxia.

It is a progressive, degenerative genetic disease with multiple types, each of which could be considered a disease in its own right.
Aya Kito (July19, 1962 - May23, 1998) wrote a diary when she discovered that she had this disease. This disease is one of a group of genetic disorders characterized by slowly progressive incoordination of gait and often associated with poor coordination of hands, speech, and eye movements. Frequently, atrophy of the cerebellum occurs, and different ataxias are known to affect different regions within the cerebellum. And there is NO CURE for this disease no matter how much money you are willing to pay for it.

The diary was about her experience with this disease.
She keeps a diary of not only what she does but how she feels and the hardships she must endure. Initially, the diary's purpose was for her to chronicle impressions she had about how the disease was affecting her daily life. As the disease progressed, however, the diary became Kitô's outlet for describing the intense personal struggles she underwent in coping, adapting, and ultimately trying to survive her disease.

In fact, in one part of the diary, she wrote: "I write because writing is evidence that I am still alive."

It probably was right because even though she died when she was only 25, she left behind a great encouragement to those who suffered this same fate.

Some people write because of money. Some people write because of interest. Some people write because it is their homework but there are these some people that write because it is the only evidence of their existence.

I want to be those who write because I care....that is PASSION!!

Keeping in touch...

It definitely isn't easy to be keeping in touch if you have a tight schedule. I must admit at times, I felt like bursting with so many things seem to be waiting to be done. Anyway I was very tired yesterday and decided to send some messages to some of my friends that I've not really been talking to. Among them are Kumara, Sai Mun, Evon, Yoke Mun, Vincent, Tuck Yuan, Lyn Yee and others. While I might not have any overly long conversation with these people, it definitely gives me a good feel. I can I not miss these people right? The jokes and just brings back fresh and good memories.

Anyway, I'm definitely ready for what's next for mid sem exam, final exam and then Actuarial paper....

the approval for the discount program...

Although I'm not sure I'm up for the task or not at the moment with my tight schedule with tuition, sports and some freelance work but I think I should push myself a little further.

I just received a call from Addie. He talked to me about some silly stuff that happened to him. For some reason, I really appreciate those little calls. It keeps me attach to the lives of those around me.

It's holiday and I'm sick...what the heLL!!

It's suppose to be holiday and I'm having flu for a while now.
Well, I'm a little agitated by that and of course, a certain worry about H1N1 does occur within me. Anyway, I'm feeling much better now, probably thanks to the flu pill that I took. Although I definitely feel much more sleepy, my brain refused to shut down.

There are some unsolved equation running through my head here.
Studies, schedule, plans and stuff that has yet to be solved is popping up.

Well, blogging probably put my head off from those stuff a little and start thinking a bit of other things. And I'm quite frustrated because my watch was spoiled and I wondered how it happened.

Damn!! what happened!! :-(

I'm sad because it was given to me by my best buddy. I'm going to change it because I really didn't wanna buy a new watch. I remembered YenLeng wanted to buy me watch a few times but each time I reminded her that I won't be changing the watch cause it's given to me by my best friend. Not that the watch is extremely expensive or overpriced. It's just that it carries a special meaning for me personally.

Anyway, shouldn't be dwelling too much on this issue also. I think I need to drink more warm water....that's it for now then...sign off!!

What do you do with "camera"???

I know most people would love to take snapshots of themselves. Camwhore...although I don't really understand that term. Anyway my roommate bought a new camera and guess what we use it for...I'll post some of the photos here for you to see...

these are the notes that I left out in my lectures and I'm too lazy to copy it down.
Now that's when camera comes in handy!!

another one for you guys to take a good look...lOL!

Anyway it has been some time since I'm blogging. I'm rather occupied with stuff....haha!! Anyway, I'm introducing my TWITTER here.....

That's right....KianHin...ish...indispensable Super Human.

Okay okay...I just started twitting....didn't really enjoy it that much though...anyway that's another story. Guys who are free, I'm on Digi again...I's been on and off...sorry for that. My main number is still Celcom but I can't resist Digi Campus plan which way so much cheaper, what a good way to save money!! And I get to surf the net for Unlimited only at RM30.

I know it is probably not as fast as Celcom Broadband but what the's way cheaper and it's stable. The connectivity is consistent and there ain't such thing as "Fair Policy"!!

If any of you are thinking why on Earth is KianHin blogging on the train or facebooking on the train, I'm using Digi Campus data plan...and my HTC as the modem. Just in case you guys are wondering what's new inside my HTC, here are some of the screenshots....

I'm using Spb Screenshot for these photos

Now this is how I browse the net, using Opera Mobile and it really looks like you're browsing using an Iphone...for more info, go into Survival Page, my blog on more business and gadget stuff...

this is what it looks like in Google....forgot to take more screenshots...sorry about that!!

And this is how I sms now...I know it's not as cool as Iphone but it has its' own cool factor!!

I really would love to post more screenshots here but if you're really interested, go to my other blog and check it out cz I didn't wanna bother my friends with my Gadget, freeware and software stories.

Before I forgot, a friend of mine asked me if this girl looks hot?

My first answer was "TRANSVESTITE"

and guess what, I'm correct!!

Now, I'm a genius in identifying fake chicks and real girls....haha!! Signing off now....just got back from KL...need to catch a minute with YenLeng first!!

While waiting for my train, I try blogging from my HTC P3600i using moBlog software. Although the comfort of Blogging using it is nt as satisfying as an iphone or laptop, i'm rather please wf it.
Anyway I was reading my friend's blog and love to wish her all the best on her new journey...

ok...what's next? I think it's time to think of upgrading software, ram and memory card instead of a new mobile phone...
