Christmas reflection

Well, as usual, I'll be celebrating Xmas with my family and this year is no different although I was only back in Ipoh on the 23rd of December. Anyway, I still managed to enjoy myself on Christmas eve with my family...drinking a bit of red wine, enjoy light conversation with my cousin, brother and others.

Most people celebrate Christmas, whether Christians or not...I'm not trying to be religious here myself but times like this help me to reflect on my own spiritual journey. I know that Christmas day isn't the actual day that Jesus was born but it was the symbol that help us (at least for me) to recall on the birth of Jesus. That God love humanity so much to a point that He came as a baby Jesus....vulnerable and weak....

Honestly on Sunday (26th Dec), a day after Christmas, for the first time since quite some time, I enjoyed a sermon preached by Pastor Pax Tan. Anyway, it really helped me to recall on that love, the first love that brought me to Christ. Anyway, enough of my spiritual thoughts...I'll leave it for more private occassion...YenLeng was baptized on Christmas day. I have the photo but I think she probably don't want me to post it on my blog so I'm gonna respect her privacy on that.

As for the Christmas eve party in my house, I had took a lot of photos...I'm beginning to enjoy taking photos but really, the tremors that I have are not helping too much. But still, that did not stop me from taking beautiful photos...(haha! self praise!!)

Well, this is the Christmas tree decoration...I took this on the day that I got back to Ipoh...23rd of Dec 2010...:-)

Well, I kinda like the feeling that the Xmas tree is there...help to create a festive mood, especially after all the saturation from studies in KL.

Stop by in Klang before heading back to Ipoh

Well, there are many people who have been wondering "where the hell is Kian Hin?". Anyway, I'm back to Ipoh and would love to appreciate my one week plus break before I'm heading back to KL for a new semester on the 3rd of January.
Anyway, before I went back to Ipoh, I went to Klang and would love to share this little journey with my friends.

Here was where my journey started:

While waiting for the KTM train.

The two bags that i bring along...my Nike bag and laptop bag...

And here comes the train...I took it...very nice!! LOL!

While in the train...taking some snapshots due to the 1 hr journey...hate it!!

Upon arrival, I make sure I took it as proof of my visit...lOL!

Well, when I reached Klang, a new friend of mine (after being coursemate for 2 years, I finally know her at the end of my 3rd year, 1st semester), Meng Hui fetched me with another friend of hers.

As promised, she made the cheesecake and here is it. Although from the look of it, you might not want to make it but it was really quite nice...now, this must be true since it is coming from someone who don't like to eat cake...haha!!

Hehe...cheesecake!!

Next, we head for makan session....lunch time and we go for Bak Kut Teh...
I forgot the name of the place but it was quite nice and Meng Hui also belanja makan...that's the best part...haha!!

The one in pink is my friend, Meng Hui and the other girl is her friend.

Tada!! and this is the Bak Kut Teh...

After that, she fetched me back to KTM to take train back to KL sentral and then took the ETS back to Ipoh...gosh!! a whole day trip...and I did it after my Microsoft Office Project examination...and of course, I pass the exam...lOL!! damn happy...was the first to finish it and I got 983/1000...haha!! impressive?? loL! well, the exam was not that tough though...hehehe!!
That will add to another professional certificate for me but I doubt it'll be of much use though...

Anyway, would really love to thank MengHui for the Bak Kut Teh and cheesecake...appreciate it lots...at least it won't be about studies the whole time when I'm in KL...;-)

the train ticket back to Ipoh...

Well, I'm done with blogging for today...will blog about Christmas soon but for now, I guess it's going to be good to exercise a bit...:-)

Lone Ranger adventure in Midvalley...

I went to Midvalley on my own the other day. No main objective...just wanna get myself chilled and yeah, I was totally amazed by the number of people there...the celebration and festive season...was just walking around looking at the decoration in Midvalley.

Well, I felt that there are just too many soft toys around but really nice...haha!!  Hope I can own all of them...loL!! Anyway, was really happy to see those happy faces around me...especially the kids...they were like smiling so innocently not knowing that the world ain't as beautiful as their fairy tale world....anyway, continue my journey to the Gardens...thought of going to Starbucks for the drink but it was full...

It was then that I remembered a friend of mine who told me that Austin Chase's environment was great as well. I went there and the environment was nice. There was a couple who were busy looking at their laptop and Ipad. Then, I saw two guys having their coffee and eating the cake from the shop. They did not look at any electronic device but instead, they were reading a book and a newspaper respectively. Cool....at least, there are people who still appreciate books and newspaper...

I decided to try the Caramel Latte and it was quite good...but I still prefer Starbucks one and the one here is more expensive.

Well, this is the decoration from Austin Chase....quite normal...nothing extraordinary....I notice that you could play scrabble and some board games here. And there are a lot of magazines for you to read....I was reading some magazines when a group of hot chicks coming in. They were talking about the benefits of going to club, bar, and places like Starbucks for drinks etc....anyway didn't waste much of my time looking at them as I was pretty into the article that I was reading on the magazine...

Quite a lonely adventure but somehow, I enjoyed the silence...without anyone asking so much questions...occassionally my phone would vibrate and I would smsed with YenLeng but besides that, I'm totally disconnected with the world and observing it move.

Moving on from there, the Gardens...and the design and decoration was quite classy...no childish soft toys...just beautiful decorations...

Somehow the environment here bring the elegance and class with it...no wonder the items here are quite pricey...haha!!

Well, I'll probably plan more lone ranger adventure but for now, that's it...I really do enjoy looking at the photos that I take from here...well, time to get back to studies....

Tomorrow will be the Exam Prep and the day after tomorrow will be the exam day and it'll be back to Ipoh day....gonna embrace each moment...being here or in Ipoh...I guess this is something that I learn...

"I'm punchin', crashin', I'm gonna Fight to find myself, Me and no one else!" Well, time to study...hope you enjoy your day too!! It's Christmas season...the season of love and giving...let's make the most of this time....
