Dropbox [App]

Well, no one could deny that the mobile world has become so much more important given the need for most people to work on the go. We have seen how Microsoft, Google and Apple work towards providing a cloud storage....the Microsoft SkyDrive, Google Drive and Apple iCloud...all three have already launched the cloud storage while improving the Windows Phone OS, Google Android and Apple famous iOS.

But let us not forget that there is one cloud storage that has already been available for quite a while...the DropBox. One thing for sure...this is not one of the big names in the market but the user interface and functionality of the app has been amazing. It is one of the highly rated apps on the iOS and it is also available for Android as well as Blackberry...I'm pretty sure it will go to Windows Phone OS in a matter of time but let's start talking about the app first.

Basically, this is how Dropbox works...once you have put the files into the documents on your PC, you could also access it from your mobile devices such as iPhone, iPad, Blackberry or your Android devices. You could download the app directly from your mobile devices and the desktop version from Dropbox website.

You could easily download the Dropbox on your Desktop..

This is what you see when you go to the website after logging in...

Upon installation, you could find the Dropbox from your C drive easily..

Whenever you copy the files into this folder, it will also appear on your mobile devices so that you could do your work on the go...

The idea of simply dropping files into this folder that enables you to access it on your mobile device is already fantastic...but Dropbox makes sharing as easy as it is for you to access....once you have managed the settings, you could easily share files to your friends using Dropbox as well...and your friends could also access it on their mobile devices as well as their laptops/notebooks/desktop...Amazing? Well, it's available for free...

The dropbox interface for the iPhone has been amazing and simple, making management of files easy...

When loading, the Dropbox with its' logo...nothing else..

This is what you will see on the Dropbox menu...the different folders that have been created by you.

If you have some important files that you might be looking at it constantly, you could mark it as favourites as well..

Should you need to upload anything onto your Dropbox via your smartphone, you could also do that without much trouble. (of course, you'll need the internet connection)

As for the settings, it is also not troublesome...

There is not much options, which makes it good...you need your email and it will shows the space used from the free 2.5GB that most people are using...Should you feel the need to upgrade, it is not difficult...simply press on the upgrade account and you can choose the Dropbox Pro 50 that gives you 50GB of space a year....costs about $99.99....I find this a bit pricey though...

A few more options include the upload quality, passcode lock should you need it for confidentiality issue and also local storage.

Well, if you decided to change account linking the iPhone with the Dropbox, you could also do so easily at the bottom of the settings page. Basically, you could start using Dropbox within minutes upon signing up...it's as easy as ABC...which makes it so much more popular in comparison to those SkyDrive, Google Drive and iCloud...of course, these 3 main cloud storage has also seen a lot of improvement...

Some people are arguing which is the best...I think each of these cloud storage has its' own benefits...I think the best part is we can use all of them....so why not make use of all of these cloud storage for our work on the go....
