FA Cup Final

It probably shouldn't be as dramatic as it is, but Liverpool fans made it all up again..."controversials" etc....

The game was pretty straightforward....Chelsea had a far more better opening than Liverpool...they scored 2 goals...an amazing run from Ramires and the sharp angle shot by Didier Drogba....overall, Liverpool could hardly threaten with their forwards...Suarez who? but then the striker that had been on the receiving end of the critics throughout the season, Andy Carroll came on from the bench and made all the difference...

Suddenly Liverpool had something to offer on the air in the attacking half....and suddenly Chelsea defenders seemed to be slipping and playing in a chaotic fashion...Terry slipped again before Carroll tricked him and scored with a thundering shot...that made it 2-1 and the Reds are on form....raring to go for the equalizer...I'm sure most of the fans are expecting an Istanbul repeat...

and then, when Carroll had a strong header, which appeared to cross the line, the Liverpool players went celebrating but no, it was not a goal...according to the linesman, it wasn't...

Check out this photo, or you may look at the video...the closest angle we have from the shot is this one...it looked like more than half of the ball had went over the line...that is true...no doubt about that...but has the entire ball went over the line? Soon Aik argued that more than half of the ball inside is already a goal, but if you check at the FIFA rules and regulations, it is only considered a goal if the entire ball went in....it is really a tight decision...but if a Liverpool fan can see that only more than half of the ball went in, I'm sure you have the answer...

It's a right decision...I definitely wanted Liverpool to lose but it was pretty straightforward...only considered a goal if the entire ball went in...so it was really a good save from Cech...let's not take this away from one of the most dedicated goalkeeper over the football history..

2-1 is the final score and one must really wonder how did Chelsea did it with these bunch of oldies...except for a few others...I guess this is probably "Now or Never" moment for them, including the Champions League....so let's give a due credit to these players...

Amazing victory!! and now they are going to have the belief that they can win it in the Champions League final...
