Barcelona not selling Fabregas

Well, it seems like Barcelona is quite firm on one thing at the moment....Fabregas is not for sale.

Barcelona vice president Josep Maria Bartomeu insist that Cesc Fabregas is not for sale and will not be leaving the Camp Nou this summer.

With Paul Scholes retired and Thiago Alcantara opting to go to Bayern Munich, Manchester United has turn their attention to Fabregas. David Moyes is keen to bolster United midfield and the former Gunners player is viewed as the likely transfer target. Given his former partnership with Van Persie, it is natural that Moyes is going for this move.

Moyes is hopeful of some progress regarding the club's pursuit of Fabregas "in the next day or so", however, it seems Barca have no intention of allowing their player to depart.

“We can assure you that we won’t listen to any offers for Cesc. It is not an option. Cesc is non-transferable,” Bartomeu said.

It will be interesting should a move be made, given Fabregas passion to excel in Barcelona. Well, football has its own mystery at times and only time can tell if all these are plain rumors and attempt from United side to show an active pursuit during this transfer season.
