Fergie's Fledging

For those of you who love Manchester United, how can you not know and hear about the Fergie's Fledging.

And guess what, these bunch of United legends met up again, at a different stage of their career and life. Sir Alex Ferguson's class of 92 (and Phil Neville) met up again as they write a new chapter in their lives.

Beckham has just retired, and so is Paul Scholes....Giggs are still playing football for United but is now a player-coach under Moyes. Phil Neville is back to Manchester as part of Moyes' back end staff....as another coach. He was after all the player trusted by Moyes in his time in Everton.

Butt has also joined United's coaching staff as the club fulfils Ferguson's plans for a Bayern Munich model, while Scholes has declined a coaching role for now in order to spend time with his family. Gary Neville will begin his third full season as a Sky Sports pundit, where he will be joined by Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher.

Beckham, Butt, Giggs and Neville all played in the 1992 FA Youth Cup final, when United defeated Crystal Palace 6-3 on aggregate.

Scholes missed the game through injury but featured in the following year's final - a 1-4 aggregate loss to Leeds.

Phil Neville, who also started against Leeds at the age of 16, skippered United to their 1995 Youth Cup win versus Tottenham Hotspur.

The six youth teamers have featured in 3,428 games for United, with Giggs still going strong at 39 years of age.

So, what can we say about this? The best batch of players during Ferguson's era has retired....it's time for a new era...
