Giggs and Phil Neville join United coaching staff

Well, there wasn't much movement in the transfer market at the moment...at least, there weren't much done deal for us to talk about, but there is some pretty interesting one at the back room staff.

Ryan Giggs and Phil Neville will both join United coaching staff. The two will join Moyes' staff and it is interesting to see how Giggs will perform as a player-coach.

Moyes, who began work at Old Trafford this week, has already brought in Steve Round, Chris Woods and Jimmy Lumsden from Everton to form the basis of his coaching team. Giggs, who signed a new one-year contract extension in March to extend his playing career into his 40s, will now also play a part.

The 39-year-old Giggs had recently spoken of his excitement over the prospect of beginning his coaching career.

Neville, Moyes' captain at Everton, also joins the backroom team having hung up his boots at the end of last season. This was his return for Neville who started his 10 years at Old Trafford.

Phil Neville said this "I gave my all when I played for Everton but it is no secret that this club is in my heart. I've really enjoyed working with David and his staff as a player and I think that, together with Ryan, we can make a real contribution to Manchester United."

Let's see how the two can contribute to United, not being a player...
