Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Are you looking forward to the start of a new season?

I certainly am...given the performance by Manchester United in pre-season, the expectation is high on United under Van Gaal.

Anyway, just as I was following up on the latest transfer rumours on soccernet, I just realized that Fantasy Premier League is launched already. Have you chosen your squad for this season?

Well, I have not...but I'm looking at it as I blog about it now...

I would have chosen the entire Manchester United's squad if the rules allow it but the rules don't allow such selection.

For those of you who are not sure what Fantasy Premier League is all about, it is the official fantasy football game that is in association with EA SPORTS.

If you are interested to join, you will be given a budget of £100m and then choose a starting 11 each week before Gameweek deadline. The Gameweek 1 deadline is 11.30 on Saturday (16 August 2014). So you have to make your selection before that deadline in order to score for the Gameweek 1.

Before the Gameweek 1 deadline, you are allowed to change your team as many times as you want but after that point onwards, you are only allowed one free transfer each week, with the subsequent transfers after that cost -4 points.

Alright, so why would fans like you and I should take part in this game. Because the REWARDS are quite fascinating.

If you are the gungho type and confident that you can win the first prize, here's what you are looking at: The overall winner of Fantasy Premier League 2014/15 and his/her guest will be treated to a seven-night break in the United Kingdom and will experience VIP hospitality at TWO Barclays Premier League matches during the 2015/16 season.
They will also visit a selection of major UK tourist attractions such as The Tower of London, The Beatles Story in Liverpool or spend a day exploring the spectacular Brecon Beacons countryside in Wales.

Well, if you think that's too difficult, there are also monthly prizes

So, are you ready? I'm gonna register my squad now... :-)
