Sabah trip with colleagues [Day 1]

I went for a Sabah trip with my department on the Merdeka weekend.

Honestly, the first day was very tiring as we had to reached the airport by 5.30am latest. I only had about 4 hours of sleep that night but thank God for Tom as he fetched both myself and JJ to the airport.

The flight was great as the weather was also quite good.

Check out the view:

Anyway upon arriving at KK, we went to the Filipino Market. I honestly think there is nothing to shout about here. It is what it is...a place run by immigrants...I find it kinda small to be honest....

There are great stuff especially seafood...such as BBQ fresh seafood and you get to choose your own fishes, prawns, lobsters, squids. Remember to bargain.

There are also things like fridge magnets, keychains, sarong, leather pouches (they sell real toad-shaped pouches, from real toad skin), seashells, seashell products and pearls.

After that, we went for some seafood restaurants....we ate a lot in this trip but since I don't fancy seafood, I'll only post some of the photos taken during the meal session.

After that, we went to some hotspot in KK for photo taking session...

The Tun Mustapha Tower.

The design of this tower is very unique. The tower was designed with a central core and steel brackets supporting each floor. The tower was one of the three buildings in the world based on this design concept.

After that, we went to take photo at the Kota Kinabalu City Mosque...according to our tour guide, it's also known as the floating mosque. But honestly, it's not really floating...built on a small surface of water. Nothing to shout about on this one....

Then, we had one final stop at a temple. My apologies for not remembering the name...

It's also another place for us to take some snapshots.

Well, after that, we checked in the 5 star hotel that we're staying in....Sutera Harbour. Check out the rooms....I forgot to take the surroundings of it but it was awesome...nice scenery, views and facilities. There are also a lot of very beautiful Korean tourists for some reason. Well, it's a very comfortable place to rest and go for holiday.

After that, we went to Tanjung Aru to look at the sunset. Well, not really what I was expecting but the view is still beautiful and the weather was great...windy, cooling...just nice. We also made sure we had a group photo taken there...

Check out the beautiful view here...

Well, some of us were even smart enough to take a sip while enjoying the view...

At night, we went for seafood restaurants again before going for a bowling competition.

Well, as promised earlier, here are some of the photos of the food that we ate during the trip here...
