Apple's AirPods: feature rich but not practical and ugly

Apple's AirPods: feature rich but not practical and ugly

I honestly think the removal of the audio jack in the latest iPhone 7 was not the worst decision made by Apple. In fact, it does sound promising as the company gambles on something as daring as this....in the marketing choice of words that they have used: Courage

However, the Cupertino company may have make a stupid decision in the design of its Wireless AirPods.

PRICE TAG OF $159

Apple has definitely pack some great features in the AirPods that come with a $159 price tag.

Here are some of the "magical moments" apparently.

Phil Schiller, senior vice-president of worldwide marketing said the AirPods, use a new kind of chip to deliver a "magical experience" without the usual hassle of Bluetooth pairing and unpairing.

After a simple one-tap setup, AirPods are automatically on and always connected. Using them is just as easy. They can sense when they’re in your ears and pause when you take them out. According to Apple, when you are using it to listen to your iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or Mac, the experience is just as amazing. (I highly doubt it)

Then, there is the ability to talk to Siri. Just double-tap either AirPod to activate Siri, without taking your iPhone out of your pocket.

I guess the idea for AirPods was to connect with Apple's products only. Not sure if it's something positive or negative though.

UGLY AND NOT PRACTICAL DESIGN

They have a battery life of just five hours and honestly, I think that sucks. And given the size and design of it, I guess they are just begging to be misplaced.

I still don't get the design. Whoever that come out with the idea must have never really try it on. It looks like something was hanging over your ear and imagine if you were to go for a run on a treadmill. It would have fell off in no time.

Look at the two photos below: Indeed, it takes a lot of courage to put on the AirPods in the public.
